A new update on the official visa information website of the U.S. Mission in India – www.ustraveldocs.com/in indicates that all non-immigrant visa appointments at all the U.S. embassy / consulates in India scheduled for the week from June 22-26, 2015 stand cancelled. We had reported on June 12, 2015 that consular services worldwide have been disrupted due to a technical snag. This cancellation is a result of the technical snag. We understand that visa interviews are being cancelled at several U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide.

Further, the consular update also indicates that they are unable to print both immigrant and non-immigrant visas approved after June 8, 2015. If the visa application form DS160 are submitted after June 9, 2015, the consular posts worldwide are unable to transmit the biometric information causing the delay.
