All nonimmigrant visa applicants should create a profile on www.ustraveldocs.com/in to schedule the visa interview. There may be situations where a profile is outdated, and the applicant can no longer use the eMail ID that was originally used to create the profile, or the applicant could have previously been a co-applicant or a dependent applicant along with a colleague, relative, friend, or in a group profile. Under these circumstances, until recently, the applicant(s) had to reach out to the support desk (by phone or eMail or through the profile login) to generate a new eMail ID. This process has now been streamlined. Now, while creating a profile using a new eMail ID, a pop up will appear, providing the applicant with an option to either use the previous eMail ID or move all the data to the new eMail ID that is currently being used. Once the applicant choses a preferred option, the data will be transferred without having to contact the support desk.
