A recent update on the official visa information website of the U.S. Mission in India indicates that the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi and the U.S. consulates in India have to reschedule all non-immigrant and immigrant visa appointments scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2015 and Monday, August 10, 2015.

Effectively, applicants will have to login to their profile in www.ustraveldocs.com/in and use the reschedule option to schedule a new biometrics and visa interview. If one has already completed the biometrics appointment, then it may be wise to contact the help-desk at the earliest. If the biometrics appointment is not completed yet, then there is no need to contact the U.S. Visa application center (VAC), applicants should simply use the reschedule option directly.
