At Murthy Immigration Services Pvt. Ltd (MISPL), we often get inquiries from persons seeking to cancel or reschedule a nonimmigrant visa interview. In a recent development, we have observed that the option to reschedule the visa interview through the portal is disabled 24 hours prior to the appointment for biometrics. Prior to this, applicants could re-schedule his/her nonimmigrant visa interview/appointment(s) until 11.59 pm IST on the day prior to the biometrics appointment at the U.S. visa application center.

Though there is no information available either on the website of the U.S. embassy / consulates in India or on the website of the U.S. Visa Information Service for India, we have confirmed the above-mentioned information by calling the support desk. We suggest that utmost caution is exercised by the applicants during scheduling and/or rescheduling their visa interviews.
