The U.S. Embassy and Consulates across India (New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata) were closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. December 5, 2018 was observed as a day of mourning due to the passing of the former President George H.W. Bush. All consular appointments for Mumbai have been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the same time as the original appointment.

If the applicant(s) are unable to attend interview on December 12, 2018, s/he must reschedule the Visa Application Centre appointment and the Mumbai consular post appointment online after December 13, 2018. There is NO NEED to contact the call center or customer support. One should just attend the interview on December 12, 2018 at the same time.
