Jurisdiction of the USCIS Field Office, New Delhi

The USCIS Field Office, New Delhi accepts certain petitions/applications from eligible U.S. citizens, immigrants, and nonimmigrants residing within the geographical limits of India. The services provided by the USCIS office can be found here.

In addition to this, the USCIS field office also has jurisdiction over the eligible petitioners/applicants within the geographical limits of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

Filing Fees

Petitioners/Applicants must pay the fees to the U.S. embassy cashier in the form of local demand draft in Indian rupees (INR) or in form of U.S. postal money order in U.S. dollars, made out to “American Embassy, New Delhi” for all applications, except for form I-131A, application for travel document (carrier documentation), where the fee should be paid online. The USCIS fee is non-refundable and the demand draft must be drawn on a nationalized or foreign bank at the current consular exchange rate on the day the applicant is filing the petition. Please note that the USCIS Field Office, New Delhi does not accept filing fees by U.S. Currency and the petitioners/applicants must use one of above-mentioned payment options.
