Given the pandemic, interviews will be very limited at the consular posts in India when they resume services. If one requires an appointment for the interview in a local language and no local language appointments are available, one should select the option for an appointment in the English language and later on, request a translator at the time of the visa interview. It is important to understand that interviews in other local languages are not available across India. If one seeks an appointment in India in a language other than Hindi, the visa applicant should schedule an appointment closest to the applicant’s home state to increase the probability of a local language appointment.
