U.S. Immigrant visa applicants, applying for their visas abroad may be aware that they traditionally receive a sealed envelope to be hand-delivered by the new immigrant at the port-of-entry.
Immigrant visas annotated with “IV docs in CCD” will no longer receive the traditional sealed envelope given to new immigrants. This means that all the necessary documents are electronically scanned and made available to the CBP through the consolidated consular database (CCD). Some immigrants may receive a second annotation indicating “CLASS A or B req. ATTN of USPHS at POE”. Such immigrants, will be issued a sealed envelope containing medical package. New Immigrants need to carry this when they enter the U.S. for the first time.

We will continue to bring any new updates to this process.
