U.S. non-immigrant visa applicants in India may pay the visa application fee through NEFT, phone or cash.

If the amount is paid at a bank by way of cash, in general the bank official will take the exact amount and the applicant should not face any issues.

While paying the fee online through NEFT or phone, if the applicant accidentally transfers an incorrect amount, we have noticed that the payment is returned to the bank on the same day. The applicant should wait for the refund prior to attempting another payment. If the money is not refunded automatically, it is advisable that the applicant contacts the helpdesk of visa application center for the refund before attempting a fresh payment.
