A recent report published on the official website of the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi indicates that there has been a steady increase in the number of Indian students pursuing higher education in the U.S. For the sixth consecutive year, the number of Indian Students pursuing higher education in the U.S. has increased and for the first time, in the current year, it has crossed 2,00,000. It is likely that if the Trump administration was not using such strong anti-immigrant rhetoric against students and H1B employees, that the number of students from India would be substantially higher.
