Effective today, Monday, April 4, 2022, applicants can submit their application for visa at any Visa Application Centers (VAC) where a U.S. consular post is located. 

For example, if the dropbox appointment is scheduled in New Delhi, the applicant may submit the visa application on the scheduled date and time at any one of the VAC located in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad or Chennai at no additional fee. 

The applicants may also submit at one of the other VAC locations at a fee of Rs 650/- per passport. This amount has to be paid by cash at the time of submission of the application.

This makes the visa application process very convenient for applicants who otherwise would have to travel to the VAC in which the appointment is scheduled or find a representative to submit the documents on their behalf.
