Immigrant Visa applicants in India now have the option to request both their passport and visa to be mailed to their home address, as long as both documents are serviced by Blue Dart. Previously, immigrant visa applicants had to choose from one of the 11 pickup locations to collect the passport. Under the new system, immigrant visa applicants will have to register on www.ustraveldocs.com/in as soon as they receive intimation about the consular interview and provide the address for delivery of passport / visa. There is no additional fee for this service.

This is a great relief for immigrant U.S. visa applicants, as many of them had to travel several miles to collect their passport / visa following a successful interview. This update can be found here.
