The application window for the pilot program on domestic renewal of H-1B visas closed on April 1, 2024. We had announced the commencement of this program in an earlier article.

Important Dates Going Forward

April 3, 2024: Qualifying U.S. Domestic H-1B visa renewal applicants from India who have already paid their fees and scheduled an appointment but yet to submit the documents should do so on or before April 3, 2024 at one of the FedEx locations. The required documents include a valid passport, courier instructions, DS-160 (CEAC) confirmation page, a passport photo adhering to Department’s specifications, a copy of the current I-797, and a copy of the most recent form I-94.

April 9, 2024: Applicants who previously submitted their visa renewal application and were instructed to provide additional non-electronic documents or information must drop off these documents at a FedEx office on or before April 9, 2024.

April 15, 2024: This is the cutoff date for the Department of State (DOS) and the DoS will not review any supplemental information received after this date.
